Ubisoft is shutting down its NFT flagship Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles

The French company Ubisoft has announced the closure of its ambitious but unsuccessful flagship NFT game Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles.

Champions Tactics was announced back in 2023, and the release took place in October 2024, when the hype surrounding Web 3.0 faded.

Players were encouraged to collect, customize, and roll up tabletop figures to fight opponents. In fact, the characters are NFT elements.

According to the announcement, the Champions Tactics servers will be shut down on October 30. Ubisoft is trying to lure the audience into its other crypto project Might and Magic Fates.
