After Microsoft came in, firings at Bethesda became annual.

Bethesda employees told Kotaku that after ZeniMax was taken over by Microsoft, the studio's downsizing situation had changed dramatically.

Developers also complain about the impact of the cuts on the games themselves. Along with the dismissals, the studio loses experienced professionals who have accumulated knowledge of internal tools and processes for years.

On the back of the latest Xbox cuts, OneBGS and the Communication Workers of America organized Save Our Devs. In July, Microsoft announced that about 3,200 Xbox employees had been laid off: 1,600 people had already lost their jobs, and about the same number of cuts are expected during the next fiscal year. #game
