Game Informer showed a new piece of Control Resonant from Gamescom 2026.
The Remedy employee did the demonstration, but they showed a lot of new details.
This time, Dylan explores a park in Manhattan that's completely covered in blue mold. His goal is to find one of the Resonants, the game's major bosses.
The mold here is literally euphoric: people voluntarily eat it and lie paralyzed, and Dylan has to try the mold to find out more about the creature he's looking for.
In the battle , they showed:
- Dual Blades with an increased chance of critical impact; - Turning Aberrant's weapon into a storm, causing major damage on the Falter scale; - Enemies have a separate Falter scale stagger analogue. After it is filled, you can make a hit; - Ignite inflicts fire damage; - Barrage throws stones at enemies and quickly fills Falter; - Push works almost like a force push from Star Wars.
There is no block and parity in the game only evasion. The perfect evasion slows down time and increases the damage done. Remedy specifically pushes players to an aggressive style: you can restore health mainly by using spheres that fall out of dead enemies.
Dylan can also change the direction of gravity and walk on walls, which is not only used in research but also in battle with bosses.
One of the bosses shown was the Collective , a huge mass of mold formed from many clumsy faces.
There will be random events around the world that can be seen by strange objects in their environment, but the real sights of Manhattan are not to be expected: Remedy creates its own distorted version of the city, inspired only by real New York.
They won't change the main end of the game the end of the game alone, but some side tasks may end differently.
The choice of replies also affects the NPC's attitude to Dylan and their meeting behavior.
