Their version of the spice factory.
Born_Lengthiness3572's editor is no longer happy in his neighboring Ikeja, as he spent too much time there trying to figure out how to work with a lighted window that mimics daylight.
The guy started this real study, took pictures of the windows, recorded the lighting, compared it to the type of furniture and the target audience, and then the editor noticed the pattern: in the office areas, the light was dark, in the bedrooms and children's rooms, it was bright and cozy, and he decided it was a marketing ploy that influenced the buying behavior.
And after that, Born_Lengthiness3572 decided to share his findings with Ikea employees, and the funniest part started:
I showed one of the employees a printed chart of my observations, and he looked at it for five seconds, and then he asked me why I went to the store 14 times in two months, and I explained that quality research requires systematic research, and he said that's not what he meant.
A week later, I wrote to the support service asking if the weather was artificial on the spot or if all the stores were getting instructions straight from Sweden. My letter was sent to the manager, and he invited me to his office. He explained that there was no weather system, and he asked me not to photograph the windows anymore.
Now that he's coming to Ikeya on real business, the staff are pointing their fingers at him and calling him the "weather guy", which brings about Born_Lengthiness3572.
