Today marks 18 years of Fable II, one of the most unusual RPGs of its time.
At the time of its development, the people of Albion hated the main character's dog for some reason.
Peter Molineau said that virtually every NPC in the game had an artificial intelligence error that made it to the pet and tried to beat it, and that was the case in every city wherever the player went.
The developers intended the dog to be a loyal companion, one that would cause different emotions and reactions depending on the owner's behavior, but early tests turned out to be a true simulator of universal hatred of animals.
As a result, the error was corrected, and the dog became one of the most beloved features of Fable II.
