The GeForce RTX 5080 showed more than 220 times the increase in FPS thanks to Microsoft's new DirectX Raytracing technology.

In the Clustered Geometry test, the performance of the video card increased from 1.4 to 310 FPS, and the consumption of video memory by beam tracing structures decreased by 94% from 4716 to 267 MB.

For comparison, the Radeon RX 9070 XT delivered 91 FPS, being 3.4 times slower than the RTX 5080.

The new technology is significantly speeding up the processing of complex geometry and may prove particularly useful in future open world games and ray tracing.

It's a synthetic test, but in real games, you can't expect a 220-fold increase in performance. #game
